Education

Here are some of my current involvements...

I am a senior scientist and technologist with skills centered around physics, optics, and material science.  I have been fortunate to work hand-in-hand globally (especially in the USA, China, India, and Saudi Arabia) with many of the best minds on the planet, advancing science and improving products and manufacturing processes for industry, governments, and the consumer.

Professionally, I am a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), a Fellow of Optica (formerly the Optical Society (OSA)), and left Boeing as a Boeing Technical Fellow.  I have enjoyed working in Science and Technology Policy, Global R&D, Technology Scouting, Venture Capital, Patents, Charge Transfer, Earthing/Grounding, Functional Textiles, Consumer and Industrial Products, Nanotechnology, Graphene, Air and Water Filtration, Decontamination, Energy Transfer, Optical Fiber Sensors, Carbon and 2D Nanomaterials, Graphite-Reinforced Polymer Materials, Nanotribology, Thermoelectrics, Conductive Nanomaterials, Optical Characterization, High Power Laser Diodes, and much, much more.

SeeLinkedIn for professional activities and interests, etc.

See USPTO.gov for issued USA patents covering some of my inventions.  This does not include issued foreign patents or currently active foreign or domestic patent applications.

See ResearchGate for my academic presence with a bias towards publications.  My presence here is based on my domestic and international efforts for Boeing teamed with or managing research with academics.  I was also an adjunct professor for physics for five years.

I exist on AngelList but my presence in this startup/entrepreneur/investor domain is neither extensive nor well documented; I had seven years as a technology scout for Boeing and one year as CTO of a startup venture fund.

My c.v. is by far the most comprehensive source.
